P1 Concept (Melissa D'Amico)
I found myself stuck trying to figure out some words to describe myself. Although I know myself more than anyone else, I felt odd trying to figure out ways to convey myself to someone through a logotype. I started thinking of some of my favorite memories and what they have in common. Most of the memories took place at the beach and/or during my favorite season of winter. Much like most girls who grow up with dads who surf, I view the beach as my second home, where I can clear my mind and only worry about whether or not I'm smiling too much. Almost everything good that ever happened to me (including my birth) happened during the cold, cheery season of winter. I started to discover similarities between me and these two things: like the beach, I am playful and bright, like the waves and the sunshine. I associate winter with my favorite color palette of cool colors like blues and violets, and winter is filled with sweetness and happiness. I plan to incorporate all of these traits into my logotype.

Nice Melissa! See that concepts like seasons and the word beach stays all along in your writing. These are definitely things that you have to explore. Since you already mentioned color palettes, something that you could try is the juxtaposition of cold and warm, and how this could be reflected in your logo. Do some research about beach and winter, look at photos, nature, read about sensations, activities, things that happen in both seasons to create new connection and explore them. Get inspired by both and start sketching some ideas.
